Creator Chronicles Recruit Guild Members
Houses, contacts, named early invites, and jobs before Hidden Swamp.
Recruiting in Creator Chronicles is a housing problem first and a personality problem second. Glass-hearted members can quit after dungeon deaths on Conqueror, and they will not even join if there is no house. This page covers contacts, named early invites, jobs, and the invite order that actually clears Hidden Swamp. Read Village buildings for the one-house-per-member rule and Character Creation if you have not locked the master’s class.
The campaign is single-player. Contacts and auction “players” are in-fiction. You are not inviting friends from Steam into your village.
Housing before the handshake
Build the house, then invite. The HUD member count will not rise because you wished it would. A house is a bed, not a decoration. If gold is short, demolish another burned ruin for the 100 gold chronicle reward instead of inviting someone who will sleep on a plot. Pause with Space before you confirm an invite you cannot house.
Early loop from Getting Started: demolish, house, bread, farm, then invites. Bread matters because workers and miners eat. An unpaid, unfed invite is a waste of a contact.
Named early recruits
Guides call out a useful first wave. They are not the whole roster of about 120 unique demo members; they are the names worth grabbing if they appear.
| Name | Role | Profession |
|---|---|---|
| Lettuce | Healer | Herbalism |
| Seran | Healer | Alchemy |
| Mona | Tank | Mining |
| Kanji | DPS | Cooking |
| Joram | DPS | Fishing |
| Confidence | Tank | Blacksmithing |
A first Hidden Swamp party of three wants a tank, a healer, and damage. Lettuce plus Mona plus Kanji is a clean triangle: herbs, a body in front, and food haste. Seran plus Confidence plus Joram is the same triangle with alchemy, defense, and crit. If only DPS contacts show up, wait; three Kanji clones still wipe without a healer.
Open the roster when you need names beyond this table. Job bonuses are listed on jobs and ranked on the profession tier list.
Jobs versus party roles
Profession level equals combat level. Mining adds physical attack, Fishing adds crit, Enchanting adds magic attack, Engineering and Cooking add haste, Blacksmithing adds defense, Alchemy adds mana, Herbalism adds HP. That means a miner tank is not “wasting” a party slot; Mona is a tank who also feeds the north mine. A cooking DPS feeds the village and the haste budget.
Do not invite four herbalists because herbs are safe. Fields still need a farm, and Hidden Swamp still needs a shield. Use the class tier list and party tier list to keep roles honest. The party planner is for the swamp lineup, not for collecting titles.
Contacts, mood, and quits
Contacts appear as the village grows, as you level, and as mood events fire. World events are not noise. A bad mood on Conqueror can become a permanent leave after deaths. Beginner and Adventurer turn off permanent leave; Conqueror does not. Read mood before you send a fragile healer into a raid they cannot survive.
If someone dies in a dungeon on Conqueror, their level resets to 1. That is a recruit problem as much as a combat problem: you now have a level 1 house occupying a bed. Bench them, heal the mood, or accept the hole. Combat covers the battle log; this page is the reminder that replacing a quitter costs another house.
Lock auction materials so a new herbalist’s first harvest is not sold to a visitor. The invite is wasted if the herbs leave the village before the alchemy lab exists.
Invite order that works
- Herbalist or healer who can staff fields.
- Tank (Mona or Confidence if they show).
- DPS (Kanji or Joram).
- Extra healer or alchemist (Seran) once potions matter.
- Miners only after north land and food exist.
Three people is enough for Hidden Swamp at level 1–4; see Dungeons before you press F. Pause with Space using Controls before you confirm a contact you cannot house. More people is a housing bill. The demo’s 120 unique members are a catalog, not a homework list. Full launch on 14 September 2026 adds tavern mood tools; until then, housing, food, and not wiping are the mood plan.
Stop inviting because the contact window is full of portraits. Invite because the next building has a worker and the next dungeon has a role. A village of twelve unemployed friends is poorer than a village of three who finished Hidden Swamp and brought ribs home.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new guild masters.
Why is the invite button blocked?
You need a free house. Place one on the village page before you confirm a contact.
Who should I invite first?
A healer or herbalist, a tank, and a DPS so Hidden Swamp has three roles. Named options are on this page; lineup help is on the party tier list.
Can members leave forever?
On Conqueror, mood plus dungeon deaths can cause a permanent leave. Beginner and Adventurer disable that. See mood and Character Creation.
Do jobs matter in combat?
Yes. Profession level equals combat level and each job adds a stat. Rank them on the profession tier list.
How many members does Hidden Swamp need?
Three. Details are on Dungeons. Do not invite a fourth until the fourth house exists.
