Jobs and Classes

A Creator Chronicles member is a bundle: combat class, racial bonus, profession, mood, and a name you will remember after they quit. This page is the bundle without the gossip. For letter grades, use the class tier list. For who shows up early, use the roster. For how they feel after a wipe, use mood.

The eight jobs copy a familiar online-RPG weapon split. That is intentional. Origin Studio is making a game about being inside that kind of game. You are not unlocking a ninth secret hero. You are deciding which three of these eight walk into Hidden Swamp.

The eight combat jobs

Warrior — plate, physical, the person who stands in the puddle. Best early tank. Likes Blacksmithing defense or Mining physical damage. Dwarf racial health makes the job almost unfair on Beginner.

Knight — plate with a more supportive swing, the paladin-shaped kit. Needs a real healer beside it. Excellent on a second party once the village can afford two tanks.

Priest — cloth healer, the swamp timer. Elf mana and Alchemy’s +1200 mana are the luxury versions. Herbalism health is the budget version. You want at least one Priest before you care about anyone else’s hat.

Hunter — ranged physical, the clean third seat. Humans get a physical bonus that Hunters enjoy. Mining later is a natural pair. Hunters do not tank. They also do not heal. People still try both.

Mage — cloth damage, mana hungry. Gnome spell power and elf mana both work. Alchemy is not optional if you want the job to last a full cave. Enchanting’s magic bonus is the later coat of paint.

Druid — leather-adjacent flex. Can support or damage depending how you build the party. Herbalism health keeps them from being a second cloth accident. Better as a second support than as your only healer.

Rogue — leather, daggers, burst, no interest in packs. Cooking haste or Fishing crit are the cheeky pairs. Beginner is a playground. Conqueror is a resignation form.

Warlock — cloth damage with a thinner bar than Mage. Gnome spell power is bait. Bring potions, a tank, and a spare invite. Do not make this your only damage plan on the first save.

Racial bonuses

These are added on top of the job, including on your guild master during character creation:

RaceBonusComfortable jobs
HumanPhysical damage +100Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Knight
DwarfHealth +1200Warrior, Knight, nervous Priest
GnomeSpell power +100Mage, Warlock, some Druid
ElfMana +1500Priest, Mage, Warlock, Druid

Your master still enters the first dungeon, so the racial you pick is not a menu cosmetic. A gnome Warrior can work. It is just a Warrior who asked the swamp for extra homework.

Profession is the other job

Profession level equals member level. There is no weekend crafting alt. When Kanji hits 4 in Hidden Swamp, Kanji’s Cooking hits 4. That is why parallel parties matter: the people not in the cave still need a way to gain levels, or you accept that the lab lags the tank.

Match bonus to role, using the profession ranks as the shopping order:

  • Physical tanks and DPS: Blacksmithing, Mining, Cooking, Fishing.
  • Healers and casters: Herbalism, Alchemy, Enchanting.
  • Engineering haste is a later spice, not a first plot.

Part-time village tasks auto-select someone who actually has the required profession. Click another member to swap the worker. Label people correctly and the village mostly runs. Label everyone “adventurer” and you will stand at a forge wondering why ingots do not exist.

Difficulty is a job filter

Beginner cuts monster stats to 60%. You can put a Rogue in the third seat and live. Adventurer is the honest game. Conqueror can reset levels and make leave permanent, which turns a B-tier job into a roster hole. Read combat before you tick that box because a friend dared you.

The full build adds Party Strategy potions, which will look like extra jobs. They are extra buttons on the same eight classes. Hall of Battle will let you test a trained party against another master’s party after 14 September 2026. Practice the triangle in the campaign first. Asynchronous PvP does not resurrect a Priest who quit in the swamp.

When you are ready to assign names, take this page to the party planner and to recruit. Jobs are easy. Invites that match the jobs are the actual work.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for new guild masters.

How many combat jobs are there?

Eight: Warrior, Knight, Priest, Hunter, Mage, Druid, Rogue, Warlock. Grades are on the class list.

Does my guild master use these jobs too?

Yes. Race and class are picked in character creation, and the master still enters the first dungeon.

Can one member have two professions?

Plan for one profession that matches the combat role. Staff extras across the roster instead of stacking both on Lettuce.

Which job should a dwarf take?

Tank first. The health bonus is wasted on a back-row Warlock. Party seats are explained on the party page.

Do jobs change after the Tavern arrives?

Mood tools arrive at launch. Classes stay these eight. See the roadmap for Tavern and Hall of Battle.
