Creator Chronicles Plan the first village
A plot order that feeds Hidden Swamp without bankrupt gold.
This planner is a build order for the burned starter map, not a city-sim sandbox. Creator Chronicles charges more gold for every extra building. Housing is a hard cap: one house per guild member. The mine only sits on northern land. Roads double walk speed. Pause with Space before you drop a second decorative house you cannot staff.
Use this beside the village buildings guide. The campaign is single-player. The auction is an in-fiction market of other “players” inside the game-within-a-game, not a live economy you can grief.
Plot order for the first two hours
- Demolish burned houses. Each demolition pays a 100 gold chronicle reward and clears a tile you actually need.
- Place houses equal to the invites you want this morning. Three swamp seats need three houses before you open the guild panel.
- Buy a bread loaf at the auction so the next worker can eat.
- Place a farm and at least one field. Fields grow herbs. Herbalists will not magic crops onto grass.
- Invite the herbalist and lock herbs so the auction cannot sell your potion stock. Details sit on recruit.
- Place the alchemy lab once herbs exist. Seran and other alchemists need a bench, not a wish.
- Lay roads between house, farm, lab, and the south path. Members move at 2x on roads.
- Save gold for northern land (about 10,000 gold in tester notes) and the mine. Miners need food; a hungry mine is idle stone.
- Unlock the ore chain in order: copper, tin, silver, gold. Park a blacksmith only when bars exist.
- Add a windmill when cooking demand rises (root oil and roasted ribs show up in early chronicle tasks).
Do not buy both extra land parcels on an empty wallet. Two parcels at 5,000 gold each can wait until Hidden Swamp has paid a first-clear trait point. The getting started walkthrough is the narrative version of this list.
Cost traps
Every extra building raises the next price. A fourth house before a farm is how people stall with a pretty street and no potions. A mine before bread is how people stall with a pretty hole. Lock materials that unlock the next structure: kudzu and sage for the lab, root oil for the windmill, lesser health elixir plus bread and fish pie for the mine. Target production sliders exist so you can stop at 10 or 25 instead of flooding the auction.
World events fire from mood, level-ups, and village growth. Pause and read them. A visitor spike is not a reason to sell the last clover. Visitors on the HUD are a story meter, not a second player in your lobby.
Full-build buildings this planner does not fake
The Tavern is a 14 September 2026 system for talking to members and managing mood. Sketch a tile for it if you like, but do not pretend it is in every demo save. Hall of Battle is not a village building; it is asynchronous PvP. Ranking seasons do not need a plot. Five save slots in 1.0 mean you can try a greedy mine rush on a second file without deleting the careful farm. Demo files still die on 13 September 2026.
When the village is staffed, send the three-person party using the party planner and dungeons. First clears grant village trait points that bump production. Spend those points after you have a lab, not instead of a lab.
If gold is still tight, run 2x or 3x speed from the HUD, right-click a building for one manual craft, and only then open the profession ranks. A planner cannot plant kudzu for you. It can stop you from placing the mine on the south beach.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new guild masters.
How many houses do I need?
One per member you want to invite. The recruit guide will refuse extra names if beds are gone.
Where does the mine go?
North land only, after food and the alchemy loop. See village buildings for the unlock chain.
Why did the next house cost so much?
Each extra building raises the next gold price. Follow this planner and the village guide instead of spamming plots.
Should I sell everything on the auction?
No. Lock herbs, ores, and unlock items. The auction is in-fiction, covered in the village guide.
When do I send a dungeon party?
After three housed members exist. Use the party planner and Hidden Swamp notes.
