Creator Chronicles Class tier list
Who holds Hidden Swamp without wasting your first three invites.
This page ranks the eight Creator Chronicles combat jobs for the opening village and Hidden Swamp. The grades are wiki opinion from the public demo and CBT notes. Origin Studio can still retune numbers before the 14 September 2026 Steam launch.
The campaign is single-player. You invite members, assign a job, and send a three-person party into a level 1–4 swamp. A first clear awards a village trait point. Members are glass-hearted: a bad death can make them quit, and Conqueror raises the stakes with level resets and permanent leave. That is why we grade reliability in a cheap party higher than highlight-reel burst.
S tier — staff these first
Warrior is the early tank. The kit reads like a classic plate frontliner: hold the pack, take hits, give the healer a simple bar to watch. Pair a Warrior with Mining later for extra physical damage, or keep them on Blacksmithing if you need the defense bonus more than the ore. Mona is a named tank who already likes the mine; Confidence is a named tank who likes the forge. Either one is a cleaner first invite than a random Rogue who looked cool at the gate.
Priest is the early healer. Lettuce (herbalism) and Seran (alchemy) both sit on this role in the opening roster, which is a gift: the same people who keep the party standing also feed the lab. Priest mana is the hidden swamp timer. An elf Priest with the +1500 mana racial feels luxurious; a dwarf Priest is tankier if your Warrior is still undergeared.
Hunter is the early ranged seat. Hidden Swamp is a cramped, messy cave, and a Hunter lets the tank hold the line while damage arrives from a safer tile. They replace the third seat that new masters often fill with whoever walked by. Tank, healer, Hunter clears the first dungeon more often than three damage jobs with matching hats.
A tier — strong once the village breathes
Knight is the other plate identity, closer to a paladin-style mix of hold and support. Knights are excellent when you already have a dedicated healer and want a second sturdy body for parallel parties. They are slightly less automatic than Warrior on day one because new masters tend to starve them of a real off-healer.
Mage is clean dungeon damage with a mana appetite. Gnome spell power (+100) and elf mana both flatter the job. Mage wants Alchemy’s huge mana pool bonus in the mid village, which is why we keep the class in A until the lab is actually producing. A Mage who drinks nothing will look worse than a Hunter who just shoots the toad.
Druid flexes between support and damage and likes Herbalism’s health bonus. Druids shine when you already understand battle logs and potion timing. They are not a worse Priest; they are a worse first Priest, because the swamp does not grade you on versatility.
B tier — high ceiling, expensive mistakes
Rogue is a leather burst job with WoW-like daggers and no interest in eating a pack. On Beginner (monsters at 60% stats) a Rogue is a fun third seat. On Adventurer you need a real tank. On Conqueror a Rogue death is how you learn what “permanent leave” means. Unlock the class, play it on a second party, and do not make it your only damage plan.
Warlock is the other glass kit: spell damage with a thin health bar. Gnome racial spell power looks tempting. It is tempting. It is also how people wipe the tutorial cave and then post that healers are broken. Warlock belongs on a farmed party with potions, not on your only three names.
Racial modifiers, not secret classes
- Human: physical damage +100. Comfortable on Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Knight.
- Dwarf: health +1200. Best on Warrior, Knight, and nervous Priests.
- Gnome: spell power +100. Mage, Warlock, and some Druid lines.
- Elf: mana +1500. Priest, Mage, Warlock, Druid.
Profession bonuses sit on top of those numbers. See the profession ranks before you park everyone on the farm.
How to actually use this list
Invite with roles, not vibes. The recruit walkthrough and the roster page name the early people who already match these grades. Build the triangle on the party list, then copy it into the party planner so a second group can brew while the first group crawls the swamp. If a pull goes wrong, open the combat guide and read the log before you fire the healer.
These letters will move. Rank the swamp you can play this week, then rank the raid when Origin Studio ships it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new guild masters.
Who is the best first class for Hidden Swamp?
Staff Warrior, Priest, and Hunter if you can. The party page shows why a triangle beats three damage jobs.
Is Knight worse than Warrior?
Not worse, just less automatic on day one. Use Knight on a second crew once the village can support two parties.
Should I play Rogue or Warlock in the demo?
Yes, on a spare party and on Beginner. Keep them off Conqueror until you understand combat wipes.
Do professions change a class letter?
They change survivability. Alchemy mana and Herbalism health are the early swings. See profession ranks.
