Creator Chronicles Profession tier list

What to level on your first members before the mine, the tavern, and launch.

Profession Rankings

Every Creator Chronicles member carries one combat job and one profession. Profession level is not a separate grind track. It matches member level, which is why a Hidden Swamp clear is also a gathering clear. This ranking is wiki opinion for the opening village: what to staff before northern land and before the 14 September 2026 full build. You will eventually want all eight professions. You do not want all eight on day one.

Bonuses are flat and honest:

  • Mining: physical damage +60
  • Fishing: crit +6
  • Enchanting: magic +60
  • Engineering: haste +40
  • Blacksmithing: defense +300
  • Alchemy: mana +1200
  • Herbalism: health +800
  • Cooking: haste +40

Those numbers apply to the same person who is also tanking a swamp pack. A Priest with Herbalism is a different animal from a Priest who only wanted to look holy in the auction house.

S — staff these on the first six names

Herbalism is the opening gather. Lettuce already arrives as a healer who likes herbs. Health +800 is the cheapest insurance you can buy for a glass roster. Hidden Swamp hits harder than people expect because members quit after a death; extra health is also extra patience. Plant the farm early using the village guide so herbalists have somewhere to stand besides the road.

Alchemy turns those herbs into the potions that keep Priest and Mage bars alive. Seran is a named healer who already wants the lab. Mana +1200 is the reason Mage stays in A instead of falling into “fun but dry.” Parallel parties exist so someone can brew while someone else crawls. If your only alchemist is also your only healer, you do not have a profession plan. You have a bottleneck with a staff.

Blacksmithing is the tank profession. Defense +300 on a Warrior or Knight is how Beginner still feels like a game and Adventurer does not feel like a coin flip. Confidence is a named tank who already prefers the forge. Do not park your only smith on a damage job “for the vibe.” The swamp does not grade vibes.

A — unlock in a planned order

Mining jumps the moment you own northern land. Physical damage +60 loves Warrior, Hunter, and Rogue. Mona is a named tank miner, which is a very kind tutorial pairing. Until the north plots are yours, Mining is a promise, not a shift. Buy land from tiles that share an edge with the town you already repaired; leaping a gap is how people stall the mine for an hour.

Cooking and Fishing are the food pair that makes the mine unlock less painful. Kanji cooks, Joram fishes, both deal damage, both belong on a second party more than on your only swamp triangle. Cooking haste +40 is a combat bonus as well as a kitchen bonus. Fishing crit +6 is small and honest; you take it because you need the fish, not because the stat will carry Conqueror.

B — later labs

Enchanting (magic +60) and Engineering (haste +40) are real. They are also how new masters delay the farm. Enchanting wants a mage-heavy roster and a Codex you can actually fill. Engineering wants a village that already has metal and a reason to chase haste. Park them after Hidden Swamp is on farm and after the alchemy lab is not starving. The village planner is the better place to sketch those plots than this list.

Who should take which job

Match the bonus to the combat role on the jobs page:

  • Tanks: Blacksmithing first, Mining when the north opens.
  • Healers: Herbalism and Alchemy. Two healers can split those instead of stacking both on Lettuce.
  • Physical DPS: Mining, Cooking, Fishing.
  • Casters: Alchemy, Enchanting, Herbalism if they keep dying.

Part-time village work auto-selects a member who has the profession. Label people correctly. The game cannot invent a smith if you invited eight Warlocks.

Difficulty, raids, and launch

Beginner monsters sit at 60% stats, so you can ignore a bonus and live. Adventurer is where Herbalism and Alchemy show up in the battle log. Conqueror is where a missing smith looks like a resignation. Profession ranks will move when launch potions land. They will not move so far that you should skip herbs.

Demo saves do not carry over when the demo closes on 13 September 2026. Use the demo to learn which pairing felt good, then rebuild on a fresh slot after launch.

If a member’s mood tanks after a wipe, the profession is not the first lever. Food, rest, and the future Tavern are. Read mood and keep the party planner boring until the lab shelf is full.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for new guild masters.

Which profession should I level first?

Herbalism and Alchemy, then Blacksmithing on a tank. The village guide shows where those plots go.

Does profession level require a separate grind?

No. It matches member level. Swamp clears raise both. See dungeons and combat.

When do I start Mining?

After northern land is bought from an adjacent tile. Mona on the roster is the named miner tank.

Are Cooking and Fishing combat jobs in disguise?

They are food jobs with haste and crit bonuses. Use them to unlock the mine, then keep Kanji and Joram on a second party from the party list.

Should I delay Enchanting until launch?

Delay it until the lab and forge exist. Launch tools are on the roadmap, not a reason to skip herbs now.
